On Tuesday the 15th of November 2016 twenty-eight students from St.Ronans N.S visited Xilinx for an extremely enjoyable experience of Dragon’s Den. The programme was set-up & managed by Xilinx in partnership with Junior Achievement.
The winners for Most Innovative Idea were Jumoke Sosan, Hamid Mogaji, Amelia Bimponda, Gladys Kumba & Oisin White with Time Watch. A wonderful watch that can travel back and forth in time.
The winners for Best Teamwork were Ashlyn Flynn, Rebecca Mahan, Chimpankpam Williams, Michael McDonagh & Cuong Nguyen with Toastee Toppings. A toaster that spreads and slices tasty bread for you.
Tommy Balongun, Victoria Sinko, Stacey Borodina & Manuel Boiter with Nanny Bot. A robot that cleans, cooks & serves you.
The winners for Best Presentation Nicole O’Sullivan, Ruth Goodhead, Ryan Grigoras, Peter Fodor & Esther with Sweg-Max. A Swag-ilicious Segway Shoe.
The winners for Best Commercial Idea were Damaris Sala, Elizabeth Adeyemo, Zarina Putdoike, Aaron Dempsey & Ciara Lynam with the HMC. A shoe that can heat, massage & cool your feet.
Martha Camara, Sarah Bullogh,Johnny Boy McDonagh & Shedrach Ogumbe's product was from the company Spy spectacles. Glasses that can help blind people see.
